Buy the book. There's a really nice looking edition that doesn't seem to be on amazon. It features an all too cliche "road less traveled" motif for the cover photo.

I'll see if I can't drag a few people from my hermeticism tribe here, Bertrand's book should be right up their alley. -

Tue, December 2, 2003 - 11:25 AMi've got that rag "Sophie's World", i couldn't finish it it was so bad. some ex-girlfriend in college who was majoring in philosophy gave it to me, i think she got a D on her thesis, so that pretty much gives you an idea of the quality of her insights after reading that book. so anyway, give me a little background on the book you're talking about, the author etc.
